Pickpocket
This is a sketch for a bank ad, believe it or not. The bank that commissioned the cartoon wanted to tout their own lack of ATM and checking fees, while highlighting the the recent changes of their competitors.
Flirty Fish Boat Graphic
Here is a photo of the final project come to life. Click to see the entire image.
Diner
Here is a cartoon I created for an aviation themed diner about 5 years ago. One of the owners, caricatured here, was a C-130 pilot.
T-shirt design
I thought I’d show a recent fun t-shirt design that started out using one of my existing cartoons that a client found on my website. I added McFann’s to the familiar shaped beer bottle, shorts, a Hawaiian shirt and flip-flops. The client requested the flyswatter and mosquitoes since they are apparently large and legendary there.
Quilted
Posts have been a bit sparse around these parts lately, thanks to a bug that’s been hanging on with a vengeance and some other less serious life issues.
This is the second time one of my cartoons has been turned into a quilt. Ms. Freely sent this photo of the finished quilt as thanks for my permission, although I’m more humbled than anything else that anyone would find my work worthy of the effort.
Rare Caricature
Here is a look at a couple of caricatures that were part of a larger project I did long ago for some gals at work. They wanted the entire finance staff caricatured as a gift for their supervisor. They each ended up as a ‘President’ on a single cartoon $3 bill, were all combined into one full color sheet as if it had just come off the press at the Federal Reserve, which was then framed.
Game Link
The iPhone game I’ve been creating graphics for and posting here is finally far enough along that it has been released into the “wild” on the web for everyone to play. Here is the link, although for some reason the game doesn’t want to load correctly in Firefox. If you want to check it out, you’ll need to use a different browser. The iPhone version will be coming soon, but I don’t think there is a definite release date yet.
South Pacific Pina Colada
Yep, another silly drink label. But at least this time I’ve given you a bit of a twist and plastered it on a virtual bottle to give you an idea of what it might look like in use, in real life. The 3D mapping feature of Illustrator is a pretty cool thing to play with, even though my rather poor efforts only hint that the bottle might be made of glass.
