Cauldron

Another quick post to showcase an icon from the iPhone game I’m assisting with. Created in Illustrator from start to finish.

Candelabra

Here’s another icon from the iPhone game I’m helping out with. It’s another piece from a sketch that was finished directly in Illustrator and Photoshop without inking on paper first.

Another Pig Post

It’s getting to be that time of year… the time of year that I get all sorts of requests for BBQ team logos. So I thought I would post another from sketch to finished color art. This one was colored in Illustrator rather than Photoshop because these types of illustrations are usually intended for t-shirts, aprons and trucks.

Vannin’ 2

A revised version of a rejected client sketch. The nice thing about rejected sketches is that I can add them to the website if I think they might be useful to someone. I take out the custom elements and make them more generic for a wider appeal. I haven’t had time to go to finish on this one, but eventually it will get inked and uploaded.

5K Billboard

The billboard I created for our local Chamber of Commerce finally went up, and I had a chance to get a picture of it to show you. The cartoon was created last year, when the 5k was originally slated to be held, but weather forced the cancellation. So here we are, back again for another try on May 1st. For a slightly closer look, click on the picture.

Liquor Labels 2

OK, I think these will be the final liquor labels for awhile. All of the labels are now available as prints from sizes as small as 1′ on the longest dimension, to an enormous 7′ tall wall graphic thru LTL Prints if you have a basement bar that has a blank wall. Click on the graphics below to be taken to the Wizard’s showroom. All of the labels are also available in my Zazzle store on various items.

Fish ‘n’ Chips

Here is a commissioned Illustrator cartoon that will be put on a dark blue background, on the stern of a boat named “Fish and Chips”. I’m sometimes surprised and often honored by being chosen as the artist for many of my client’s projects. Some of the more unique uses that have been found for my cartoons are on orthodontic devices, children’s prosthesis implants, enameled pins, cake decorating software, quilt designs and vending machine graphics.fishnchips

Capt. Copyright and Snake

I thought this was a funny find that I came across by chance.

Unusual Cartoon Uses

pizzopinEvery now and then, I get a request to use one of my cartoons in an unusual fashion. About a month ago, I received a request to use my pizza chef cartoon on an enamel pin for a veterans group’s new Commander, whose name you can see on the pin and understand why they wanted the chef. I agreed and emailed a hi-resolution version suitable for the purpose. A few sample pins recently arrived in my mailbox and I thought my visitors might be interested in seeing it. Thanks Nick, and congratulations Commander Pizzo!
