Another Pig Post

It’s getting to be that time of year… the time of year that I get all sorts of requests for BBQ team logos. So I thought I would post another from sketch to finished color art. This one was colored in Illustrator rather than Photoshop because these types of illustrations are usually intended for t-shirts, aprons and trucks.

Back to Liquor Labels

An eagle on a motorcycle simply has to be an adult beverage design. Suggest the United States flag in the background with a few stars and stripes and you have yourself a label for an American lager.

This turned out much nicer than the version I originally had in my head. The design or drawing process that takes on a life of it’s own and dictates the direction of the project is fascinating and strange at the same time.

Iced Tea Label

Well, the liquor labels have been shoved aside to make room for other beverages. Finally. Ya’ll in the south will be thrilled to see this one I reckon.

New Label

Well, when I posted the last couple of labels, I said there was nothing left in the pipeline, and at the time that was true. But apparently there are still a few designs left in my head that are clamoring to get out and I really can’t say for certain when this design theme of mine will come to an end.

On each of the labels, I have tried to keep the design as consistent as possible with the theme: fonts, color, secondary elements, even the border design. I haven’t always been as successful as I would have liked.

As a reminder to those of you who have asked, all of these label designs are created in Illustrator, 100% vector format and fully scalable.

Liquor Labels 5

There are no more of these in the pipeline, so this will be the last installment of my cartoon series of liquor labels for at least some time. I hope you’ve enjoyed them as much as I have.

Liquor Labels 4

Last week I promised three more liquor labels for your viewing pleasure and here are two of them. Check back on Thursday for the third one and a bonus. Who knows when this madness will end?

Liquor Labels 3

Yeah well, I guess I have more of these left in my head than I originally thought. Usually, once I get a cartoon or an idea on paper and finished, that’s it, the compelling urge disappears. Not so with these labels for some reason, although I suspect the number and variety of cartoons I’ve drawn over the years has a lot to do with it. I have three more ready to show you after you finish studying the two below. Coming up with the names is a lot of fun too. I’m especially fond of the “Dos Pistoles” name.

Liquor Labels 2

OK, I think these will be the final liquor labels for awhile. All of the labels are now available as prints from sizes as small as 1′ on the longest dimension, to an enormous 7′ tall wall graphic thru LTL Prints if you have a basement bar that has a blank wall. Click on the graphics below to be taken to the Wizard’s showroom. All of the labels are also available in my Zazzle store on various items.
